Dear Friends!
The Non-profit organization English Language Teachers' Association (TomELTA) is a professional organization.
TomELTA was founded in 2004 and registered on March 6, 2006.
Its mission is to build a professional community of teachers of Tomsk city and Tomsk oblast to strengthen the teaching and learning of English, to promote the professional development of EFL teachers, to support networking with colleagues all over the world, and to give access to the latest EFL resources.

  TomELTA's important event is a conference that took place five times, is held every year and attracts some 100 participants. It is a major event and EFL practitioners from even the remotest regions of Tomsk oblast come to network and expand their knowledge.
    The quarterly newsletter informs members of TomELTA activities. We are planning to provide information about the main news in the field of TEFL both in Russia and overseas.
Among other TomELTA activities are a number of workshops and seminars on new trends in language and culture teaching conducted by Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for TomELTA members and EFL teachers of Tomsk city and Tomsk oblast.

TomELTA is eager to expand its connections with overseas colleagues by forming partnerships with international professional organizations.
The agreements will allow us:

to exchange newsletters and journals.
to invite an official representative to each others' annual conference.
to explore the possibility of joint activities such as exchanging speakers, advertising job announcements, extending invitations to attend business meetings and special debates, and planning a joint conference.
to publish membership announcements in each other's newsletters.
We encourage EFL professionals to join the Tomsk English Language Teachers' Association and to use their membership to the fullest so that TomELTA can be a powerful partner in your success.

Responsibilities: the treasurer of the Association, coordinating the publication and distribution of TomELTA Newsletter.
